| Our history begins in 1989, when the entrepreneur Constantinos Bovalis, built up the first apartment complex in the area of Platanias, giving life to the place and contributed significantly to the economy of the community of this beautiful littoral town. |

Santa Helena Village is situated by the sea in an idyllic landscape within a few minutes walk from the market and the business center of Platanias town, 16km from the town of Chania, 17km from the Hospital, 32km from the Airport and 22km from the Port. |
| The comfortable rooms with the magnificent view and the high standard of services, gained rapidly guests’ preference and the company’s profitability contributed significantly to the implementation of a business development plan. |
| In 1993 seven (7) big apartments were constructed, and just 2 years later, in 1995 the reception was renewed and a second complex was built. |
| Unrivalled to its growth was the contribution of Mr. Bovalis’ wife, Mrs. Maria Bovalis. |
| The year 2000 was a major turnaround for the company. The management of the hotel passed over to the authorization of the son of the family, Alexandros Bovalis. |
| Despite his youth age – he was only 21 years old then – Alexandros proved to be equally competent to his father. Only a year afterwards, in 2001 he went for the next substantive building expansion and due to his remarkable strategic and leading performance, he has been awarded with the International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry (2007) by the Trade Leaders Club, Spain. |
Nowadays Santa Helena Village counts 106 luxurious apartments, fully equipped and specially decorated with unique style and selected details to make guests feel like home. |
